International Service

This committee is responsible for finding and recommending international service projects. They hold an auction in the Spring to benefit the International Service budget. They frequently partner with other clubs in order to increase the impact of a project. They are also active in coordinating with District 5790 and writing grants. In the past, they have recommended, and we have funded a mobile medical clinic for an area of Africa without healthcare in the area and a project in Guatemala that supported a vocational training program to encourage young adults to be able to work and stay in their home country. This project included members traveling to Guatemala to assist in building and repairing parts of the school. International Service Committee is also involved in the Youth Exchange Program – both inbound and outbound. Our club has hosted an inbound youth exchange each of our first five years.
