Suzi graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education. She owns and operates South Shore Montessori. She is our Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator.
Suzi and her husband Bill have been married for 40 years and live in Friendswood. When asked how he will support Suzi in her role as District Governor, he said, "I will go wherever she sends me - to play golf!"
Sherri Munoz, an educator and entrepreneur, has been a Rotarian since 1997. she will be serving Rotary as Rotary Coordinator for Zones 21b & part of 27 as will as District 5840 Rotary Leadership Institute Coordinator.
As club president of a club with 102 members, Sherri ledmembership development initiatives that resulted in a 12% increase in club membership. Later serving as District Membership Chair, District 5840 earned the top membership achievement award in the paired zones, and then when serving as Governor, District 5840 was recognized as one of the top 15 districts in the world for combinedmembership growth and retention along with Foundation support. Along with her husband, Al, she serves as a member of the Cadre of Technical Advisors for the Rotary Foundation, and they have participated in seven polio immunizations in India.
Janice Kane is a member of the Grapevine RC and has been a Rotarian since 2010. She is Paul Harris Fellow and serves her club's Board of Directors as secretary.
Janice will be sharing insights on Annual Fund-SHARE which is the primary source of funding for a broad range of local and international Rotary Foundation activities. Through the Annual Fund SHARE system, contributions to The Rotary Foundation are transformed into grants that change lives.
David Hurt is a member of the Arlington West Rotary Club since 2010. Dave has served in many capacities in his club and most recently as co-chair of the District 5790 membership committee. Dave was honoured last May as the 2016 District 5890 Rotarian of the year.
This year Dave is leading the District 5790 End Polio Now Campaign. With this year being the 100th Anniversary of The Rotary Foundation, Mr. Hurt will be sharing ideas how each of our clubs can participate in fund raising efforts to assist TRF in obtaining the moneys needed to finally eradicate polio from the face of the earth for once and for all.

Scott Hendricks is a member of the Arlington RC. He is retired and has been a Rotarian since 2000. For the last ten years he has worked on the Honduras Water Project.
Clean water is a basic need for human beings. When people, especially children, have access to clean water, they live healthier and more productive lives. Scott will give an overview of Rotary’s various water and sanitation projects, including his own experiences while working on the Honduras Water Project and how those projects have improved the lives of the children and their families.
Doreen Rue has been a member of the Denton Rotary Club since 2007. She is a Healthcare Executive in a Denton Area Hospital. She is a past president and Paul Harris Fellow.
Rotary's top priority is the eradication of polio, but our members take on far greater responsibilities to fight disease. Doreen will be discussing how disease prevention and treatment takes on many forms, from supporting studies to helping immunize people to improving drinking water and the sanitation infrastructure.
PDG Dr. Paul Geisel is a Rotary Member of the Fort Worth East Club. He has served as a Past District Governor 1993 – 1994. Paul Geisel retired from UTA after 35 years on the faculty. He was named professor emeritus, of the first School of Urban and Public Affairs. He is also the Director of the War on Poverty at Dartmouth College

Dr. Peter Jordon is a member of the Fort Worth-East Rotary Club. He is a member or the Tarrant County College Administrative team.
Worldwide, 67 million children have no access to education, and more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Dr. Jordon will be discussing how Rotarians support educational projects that provide technology, teacher training, vocational training teams, student meal programs, some right here in District 5790.
Our final presentation of the day, will be the announcements of all the District and Global Grants that the District Foundation Committee has approved for the 2016-2017 Rotary Year. This will be a very exciting ending to a full day of seminar sessions. The district received 38 grant applications this year and clubs will learn if their grant request was approved by the District 5790 Foundation Committee.
