DESCRIPTION:    The Rotary Club of Azle will host its third annual Steak
  Cookoff March 7\, 2026 under the live oaks at Lakeside Plaza\, 8401 Jacks
 boro Highway in Lakeside. Rotary Clubs from throughout District 5790 are e
 ncouraged to put together a team and come cook one or two steaks — provi
 ded to all entrants — with a chance to win up to $1\,000 in the internat
 ionally sanctioned event.     Entry fee is $160 for one steak\, $320 fo
 r two and $25 for a separate appetizer competition. The Cooks meeting is a
 t 10 a.m. and each team gets a 10x15 space to set up and work in. There is
  also music\, fellowship and plenty of sampling throughout the day.    
  The Steak Cookoff Association\, headquartered right there in Lakeside\, 
 will host its World Championship the following weekend at Texas Motor Spee
 dway\, with more than 400 teams competing from all over the world. Many of
  these teams will compete in the Azle Rotary event.     It’s a day of
