Experience the Magic Starting Friday evening Aug 5th through Sunday morning Aug 7th.
Come Aug 5-7,2022 to Abilene, Texas, the Storybook Capital of America, and celebrate the end of the 2021-2022 Rotary year! Bring your families and enjoy a weekend of fun and fellowship. In addition to service projects and Rotary get-togethers, enjoy the storybook gardens in Downtown Abilene, a fabulous zoo, numerous art galleries, world-famous restaurants, and the friendliest folks you’ll ever encounter.
Friday night will feature the Tri-Governor Award Ceremony. This Harry Potter themed event will see awards presented for each of the last 3 years by our magical Past District Governors, Peter Scott, Roger Paschal, and Kayla Christianson honoring the service above self your clubs have offered throughout the pandemic. The pandemic forced us apart, but we found ways to come together, and now we will have our first District Conference in 3 years to celebrate!
On Saturday, you can serve above self by working on a service project for one of Abilene's nonprofits, or you and your family can tour the many family-friendly activities across Abilene. Lunch is on your own. At 1:30 we will have a business meeting (at least one member of each club must attend) followed by several Rotary breakout sessions. If you're unable to attend during the day, be sure to come to the reception at 5:30 followed by the Club Celebration and Award Dinner. PDG Christianson is a Millennial, so every club gets a trophy!
