Elizabeth Talbert Receives the Rotary Builder Award at the Burkburnett RC
Reverend Elizabeth “Liz” Talbert serves the Burkburnett community as Minister of the First United Methodist Church in Burkburnett.  Her roots are in Burkburnett, however, throughout her childhood she attended many north Texas schools before graduating from Bowie High School in 1974.  She obtained a B.S. in Education from Southwestern University and an M.A. in School Counseling from the University of Houston.  She later received her degree in Theology from Southern Methodist University and is presently working on her Doctorate. 
She first joined Rotary in 2009 in the Rotary Club of Bonham and then joined the Rotary Club of Burkburnett in 2013.  She serves as Secretary of the Burkburnett club and keeps the club on track with the weekly bulletin.  She has been actively involved in club projects including flags and community garden as well as promoting Rotary through the community.  Her regular attendance and diligence to maintain club records and promote Rotary in a positive light make her the choice for Rotary Builder.
