On October 9, 2014, over 260 District Rotarians and Guests celebrated a wonderful evening gala at the beautiful Hurst Convention Center in Hurst, Texas.
After a some rousing music from the Razamajazz Band, some spirits and a tour of the main lobby filled with enticing Silent Auction items, we all reposed to the main dining room to share a fine steak dinner and engaging presentations by Foundation Giving Chair Deb West, Polio Chair David Boyll, Foundation Committee Chair PDG Paul Lucas and brief remarks District Governor Larry Petrash. Our Keynote Speaker was former RI Vice Presidehnt Ann Matthews who delivered a passionate speech on the need for Rotarians and the Rotary Foundation in today's world. Her love of football endeared her to all present. What true Texan doesn't love Football? And, we all loved her speech.
