Dear District 5790 Rotarians:
 
I am honored and pleased to share with you that the 2018-2019 District Governor Nominating Committee met on Sunday, February 25, 2018. The Nominating Committee, composed of myself as Chair, and the five immediate Past District Governors, interviewed applicants for 2020-2021 District Governor.  I am privileged to announce that longtime Rotarian and member of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth International, Past Assistant Governor Roger Paschal, was chosen to serve in this esteemed role for 2020-2021. 
Past Assistant Governor Roger will hold the title of District Governor Nominee Designate (DGND) until July 1 when he will assume the title of District Governor Nominee (DGN).  I announced Roger''s selection to his home Club on this  past Wednesday, February, in Fort Worth,This announcement began a 30 day period of publication for input and challenge prior to formal notice of Peter's selection to Rotary International.
 
It is a pleasure to share the following biographical information with you on Past Assistant Governor Roger Paschal.  I believe this information exemplifies the senior leadership record and professional and personal qualities, attributes, and characteristics required to hold the office of District 5790 Governor.   With a record of volunteer management in many organizations, AG Roger is known recently for his high level of success in implementing the multi-club concept where area Rotary clubs join together with the goal of building vibrant clubs to make a community impact.

Roger joined Rotary as a Charter Member of the Fort Worth Horizon Rotary Club in September 1989. He served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, President & Membership Director. In 2014 He was appointed as Assistant Governor serving all seven Fort Worth Clubs He has also served with the District 5790 Vision Program, and as a RYLA Rotarian Counselor for the last six years. H coordinated the All Club Meeting for all Fort Worth Clubs the last two years. He is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Paul Harris Society, and a Rotary Benefactor
 
Roger and his wife, Linda, are currently realtors in the DFW and Tyler area, they have two children and five wonderful grandchildren, He is  also an Instructor in Marketing and Sales, a trained Improv Actor and part time actor in film and TV. He is a Past Board member of the Ben Johnson (the Actor) Foundation to bring in Celebrities, Bull Riders and Matadors from Mexico to Fort Worth Will Rogers Coliseum to raise funds for the New Horizons Children's home in Goldthwaite, TX.
 
He is a Past Board Member of Cowtown Christmas, which acquires and distributes Christmas Gifts to needy Children. They also provid a Wild West Show at the Cowtown Coliseum with the Old Spaghetti Warehouse for children and adults.  
 
He was raised on a 4,000+ acre Cattle Ranch in Hill County Texas, where they  ran over 1,100 head of Mother Cows. Co-founded, with his brother, an Auto Parts Manufacturing and Distribution Company. The company grew to 5 Locations in 4 States. The Company was sold in 1994, and was acquired it back in 1996 and sold again in 1999. He has  been a past General Manager for Northeast Newspapers, a weekly publication for 4 local Cities in North East Fort Worth.
 
Roger  is honored to be selected as District Governor for 2020-2021.  He looks forward to building a team that will support all of the dynamic Rotary Clubs in 5790.
