Partnering with other Denton County Rotary Clubs, Flower Mound RC
has formed a fund to financially assist community members
and small business impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic.
Several Denton area Rotary clubs have gotten together to raise funds for folks who have lost income from the Covid-19 Stay-At-Home Order. We need to respond quickly because there are a lot of hard-working folks here in Denton who are suddenly without a paycheck through no fault of their own. We’ve built a program to give grants of $1,000 or less to Denton residents who have had a catastrophic loss of income due to the Order. The Flower Mound Rotary provided $5,000 in seed money for the program and we hope to raise between $30,000-100,000 from the public. We will, when possible, draft checks directly to landlords or utilities so we know the bills are paid as quickly as possible.
The application asks for very detailed financial information so we can make smart decisions about the need.
We’re asking all Rotarians and their clubs to add the attached postcard to their social media accounts. If you are a business owner please consider adding it to your social media as well * link this graphic to our website at *
If posting to social media, upload the graphic, and then add manually in the body of the post for one click connection.
We’re looking for a few folks from each club to help us evaluate the applications from the public for aid. Please contact us if you are interested.
We’d love to have you, your club and your businesses donate to the fund at:
If you have contacts at news media we could use your help getting the word out.
Lastly, if you know of folks who need help you can nominate them at Because this is a volunteer program by our clubs ,100% of the money we receive will be distributed back into our community.
