Rotarian Jim Vaszauskas (Mansfield ISD Superintendent) of the Mansfield Sunrise RC was recently contacted by the parents of one or the MISD graduates and now starting lineman with OSU. That student is Zach Crabtree and is one of the 20 OSU athletes chosen to visit victims of the tragedy in the hospital.
Zach is the one with the blue Nike Cap
The Mansfield Sunrise RC is donating to funds in support of those victims and is asking Rotary Clubs from throughout District 5790 to consider doing the same. Below is the text of a e-mail sent to Rotarian Jim from Zach's mother. The memo includes links to stories about the service the athletes are providing as well as links to a memorial fund being used to support the victims and their families.

Jim,
Thank you so much for continuing to support this cause.  Stillwater as a whole is still working to raise money for the many victims and their families of this terrible tragedy.  At the Bedlam (OSU vs OU) game this past Saturday evening they were still passing buckets throughout the stands for cash donations.  The best place to make an online donation and read more about those affected by this tragedy is at the following linkhttp://go.okstate.edu/parade-memorial. You can click on individual names and read their stories, you can donate to a specific person or to the Stillwater Strong Fund, which will benefit all.

A group of about 20 OSU athletes visited the OKC Children’s hospital two days after the tragedy along with the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team.  Here is the link to the article (Zach is in the black Nike cap in the first picture) http://newsok.com/article/5456155

Here is a video of Zach when he won the Big12 Champion For Life (first OSU Athlete to win) earlier this year.  It gives a little insight to his character.

Thanks again for all you are doing on behalf of the Stillwater Strong fund!
