Blake Jones Receives the Rotary Builder Award for the Cleburne RC
This year’s Rotary Builder award goes to someone who truly has a servant’s heart.  His faith is strong and he wants to “Do Good” on this earth…. to make a difference.  Give him a job and he will roll up his sleeves and tackle it immediately.  He’s active in the community with Rotary, but also with the Chamber of Commerce and the East Cleburne Community Center.  Even though he has only been in Rotary a short time he has been instrumental in starting our brand new interact club.  He has reinvigorated our blood drive, brought in 2 new members, participated in our fish fry and helped to get our website updated.  He’s touched many lives and is a good role model for others.  We are extremely proud to have him in our club.
Blake was born April 14th, 1990 to Shelli Bates Jones and Heath Jones.  Blake suffered some health complications early in life and was only in the 3rd grade at Gerard Elementary when his mother lost her battle with breast cancer.  At her request, her parents adopted him and his brother Bradley.  Blake played soccer and was a percussionist from 6th grade through high school, becoming the drumline captain for the Golden Pride his senior year.  He worked for Domino’s Pizza throughout high school and some in college.  He graduated from TCU in 2012, and while there he also got his bartender’s license and worked for a restaurant as well as Woodhaven Country Club as their Food & Beverage Manager.  While at Woodhaven, he met his bride to be, Jennifer Myers.  After leaving Woodhaven, Blake became the youngest Farmers Insurance Agent in Texas and has won many accolades with them.  He and Jennifer married April 24, 2015 and their son, Aiden, was born April 24, 2016!
