Rest in Peace Rotarian Marion Scott (Denton Morning RC) - updated information

 We are saddened to learn that Marion Scott, Member of the Denton Morning Rotary Club since 2001 and his wife were murdered in their home last week end. As a result of the homicide investigation there presently is no additional information to be shared with the District 5790 community. Please keep the Marion Scott family in your thoughts and prayers as they endure this horrible tragedy. The funeral arrangements are listed below.
 
The memorial service for Marion and Linda Scott will be held Tuesday, January 19th, 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Denton.  The church address is 201 S. Locust St.  A gathering will be held after the services.  It is estimated that over 700 people could attend.
 
It was determined at this time, rather than doing a floral arrangement, that a general gift card be purchased and given to Michael Scott to help defray the costs he is incurring and will incur in the days and weeks to come.  We will be taking up a collection at our meeting on Tuesday, so if you would like to contribute, please bring your cash donation that day.
 
Marion and Linda's family have also asked that we have our Rotary flags there with information on what things Marion was involved in during his 14 years in Rotary.  Alan Nelson and Ralph Wiley are heading up putting together that document.
